In-School Mentoring is a one-to-one encouragement program for boys and girls in grades 1-8. A child and his/her Mentor meet for one hour a week at the child’s elementary school to play games and sports, do arts and crafts, or just hang out and talk.
Many of us were lucky enough to have had a mentor step into our lives during our formative years – at that time when we needed them most. A parent. A teacher. A relative. Whomever, it was someone who treated us with respect and in turn earned ours. Who valued our ideas, included us, and encouraged us.
Game On! uses a group mentor approach to provide boys with information and support to make informed choices about healthy lifestyle practices.
