Winter is coming…well, winter’s already here, but you get the point. Zombie Bowling!

Tim Hortons Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake (BFKS) is our signature National event, and represents our single biggest fundraising campaign of the year and makes up 25% of our annual operating budget. It has been a tradition in Niagara for nearly 30 years!

We ask people to create a team of 4-6 bowlers, and pledge a minimum of $50 each to participate in the event.

Did you know that it costs, on average, $1000 to fully fund one match between a ‘Big’ and a ‘Little’ for one full year? Our programs remain 100% free for our volunteers and families to participate in, and we want to keep it that way. Unfortunately, $1000 is the true, hard cost of maintaining each match and we want to ensure that our operations are sustainable. This year we’re hoping to raise $80,000 in our 80th year as an agency – help us reach 80 in 80!

So how can you help? Get Zombified and put in a bowling team!

Every year there is a unique theme, and this year’s theme is ZOMBIES! We encourage all teams to dress up for the theme – your team may even win a prize! The Tim Hortons BFKS is a perfect opportunity for businesses and individuals to help children in Niagara. Friends, family, co-workers, local businesses, politicians and media put teams together and collect pledges and online donations. The teams then gather at Parkway Lanes to bowl and have fun in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
