Thank you to everyone for supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters at our 25th Annual Golf Tournament!

We are incredibly grateful to our generous community sponsors, donors, and attendees who have supported us over the years.  We continue to offer our programs free to the children and families that need our help and strive to ensure that every child who needs a mentor has a mentor.

With the generous support from our Prize and Cash sponsors, last year’s event raised just over, $38,000.00.  While the value cannot be placed on the happiness or resilience of a child, one can be placed on the hard costs of providing necessary services to them.  The costs of the Game On Program range from supplying nutritious snacks, activity bins, volunteer recruitment, training and match support by a professional Caseworker annually.  It costs $650.00 for a young boy to participate in the Game On Program for one complete session.  The demand for this program has increased 5% annually.  The challenge for us will be to address the widening gap between what we can do and what we can afford to do as the program receives no sustainable funding.

Through the combined efforts of individual donors and corporate sponsorship, we raised enough money to change the lives of over 300 vulnerable young boys.  But our work is ongoing; there are still hundreds of boys anxiously waiting to be matched with caring mentors.
