Jail and Bail
September 27, 2017
Do you have a co-worker who is always running late, never refills the coffee pot, hums a little too loudly or always leaves dirty dishes in the kitchen sink? Well now’s your chance to issue a warrant and make them a Jailbird!
On Wednesday, September 27th, willing participants will be mock arrested at a pre-arranged location by Niagara Regional Police Interim Chief, Bryan MacCulloch, Inspector Marco Giannico, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Dale Davis, and a group of volunteers as they are whisked away to the on-site jail located at Market Square in downtown St. Catharines.
Last year, we beat our goal of $10,000 and raised a record of $23,000!
The total bail is set at $10,000 and all monies raised will go towards our Game On! and Go Girls! group mentoring programs! We need YOU to throw the book at your worst-offending colleague, friend or family member and nominate them to be a jailbird!
How do I get someone arrested?
Step 1: OBSERVE
Think of someone that deserves to be arrested. It could be a friend, family member or co-worker. Common offences include: close talkers, chewing with mouth open, leaving the toilet seat up and eating the last donut.
Step 2: REPORT
Step 3: LAUGH
A lot. Twiddle your fingers and smile like Mr. Burns. Excellent. You can either let them know they are being arrested ahead of time, or try your best to keep it secret. Either way, they’re going to need to make bail to get out.
Should you wish to turn yourself in and be arrested please call Marcie Clarkson at 905-646-3230 ext 32 or email Marcie Clarkson
